Tanzania’s president John Magufuli has ban wearing of miniskirts across the country. According to John, We believe these garments, along with short dresses, encourage the spread of HIV/Aids.mini. John made headlines when he took to the streets to clean them up himself last year and for the cost-cutting measures introduced across the country.
The country also banned twerking last year with Cultural Development Director, Herman Mwansoko, saying it supposedly threatens original dances and impacted negatively on the new generation.
Twitter users had been using the hashtag #WhatWouldMagufuliDo to praise his good deeds and jumped on it as soon as this announcement was made.
