Buhari Appoints Muhammad Abdallah as Chairman/CEO of NDLEA

Mr. Muhammad Mustapha Abdallah has been appointed by president Mohammed Buhari as the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA). According to the statement released from the office of the Director of Press, office of the secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr. Bolaji Adebiyi, the appointment takes effect from January 11, 2016 and it is for a first tenure of five years.

According to the Guardian, Abdallah, a retired Lieutenant.-Colonel of the Nigerian Army, has a Certificate of Education from Nigerian Defence Academy in 1977, a Bachelor’s Degree in American Politics and Government from Sam Houston State University, Huntville, Texas, USA in 1989, an M.A. Public Administration, LLB and LLM Degrees from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria 2005 and 2011 respectively and Bachelor of Law from the Nigerian Law School in 2006.
