Us Rapper DMX has been hospitalized after collapsing from a suspected asthma attack. Sources tell TMZ the rapper (real name Earl Simmons) was outside his room at the Ramada Yonkers in New York Monday evening when he started complaining of shortness of breath and pain in his chest.
The artist, who has a history of asthma complaints, was reportedly transported to an unspecified nearby hospital where he's said to be receiving treatment.
The rapper was sentenced last year to six months in jail due to failing to pay child support. After his release, he was arrested again on a contempt of court charge.
DMX's first five albums all debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
