EFCC Recovers 17 Vehicles From Ex- Comptroller General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has recovered seventeen exotic vehicles in a warehouse of the former Comptroller General of Customs, Abdullahi Dikko Inde located at Nnamdi Azikwe Street, Kaduna.

The recovery was sequel to an intelligence the commission received that stolen money and properties suspected to proceeds of crime were being stored in the warehouse. Upon receipt of the intelligence, a team of operatives from the Kano Zonal Office were deployed to carry out the investigation.

Scientists have said that men who expect sex from women, in return for expensive gifts, dinner or any favour whatsoever, are sexual narcissists who need help.

It’s an evidence of narcissistic personality traits, say the trio of Basow, Susan and Alexandra Minieri, in their study entitled, “You owe me: Effects of date cost, who pays, participant gender, and rape myth beliefs on perceptions of rape.

It was published in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence.Defining narcissism as the “the tendency to exploit others and a lack of empathy,” the researchers say it’s a feeling of grandiosity and an excessive need for validation in the sexual domain.

A former navy admiral reportedly tapped by President Donald Trump to be his national security advisor has declined the post, US media said on Thursday.

Robert Harward’s rejection leaves President Donald Trump without a replacement for retired general Michael Flynn, who resigned over a scandal involving his links with the Russian ambassador in Washington.



Cameroon’s Coach Broos, Siasia apply for Bafana Bafana job

Cameroon’s coach Hugo Broos has applied to coach South Africa, just days after winning the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Gabon.

The Belgian, who coached the Indomitable Lions to victory about 11 days ago, is one of over 60 applicants for the job. Several big names have applied, including Italians Roberto Mancini and Giovanni Trapattoni as well as Germans Lothas Matthaus and Bernd Schuster.



Hundreds of Migrants enter Spain from Morocco

Hundreds of migrants stormed into Spain’s North African territory of Ceuta from Morocco early Friday, the emergency services and police said, adding that some were injured in the process.

“The Civil Guard at Ceuta estimates that 500 people could have succeeded in entering the town,” the emergency services said on Twitter.

Fayose Storms Finance Ministry, demands release of State’s allocation

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State yesterday stormed the office of the Finance Minister, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, to demand the release of the state’s statutory allocation for January and over N1. 1 billion budget support fund.

Fayose arrived the premises at about 3 p. m, but was unable to discuss with the minister who was said to be attending the weekly Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the presidential villa, Abuja.



Police arrest Isheri North kidnap ‘kingpin’ in Ogun

The alleged mastermind of the kidnap of Lagos Isheri North Estate Secretary, Dayo Adekoya, Joseph Omoni, has been arrested. He was arrested by operatives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Intelligence Response Team (IRT), led by Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Abba Kyari.

Angola overtakes Nigeria as Africa’s top Oil producer

Despite recording the biggest increase in output among its peers in the Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries, Nigeria has again lost its Africa’s top oil producer status to Angola after it regained it in November last year.

For nine months in 2016, Nigeria lagged behind its southern African counterpart in oil production on the back of the resurgence of militant attacks on oil facilities in the Niger Delta.

400 whales Stranded, About 275 Dead on New Zealand beach

Rescuers were engaged in a heartbreaking race against time on Friday to save the lives of a large group of whales, after more than 400 of the animals swam aground along a remote beach in New Zealand, FOX reported.

About 275 of the pilot whales were already dead when Cheree Morrison and two colleagues found them on Farewell Spit at the tip of the South Island. Within hours, hundreds of farmers, tourists and teenagers engaged in a group effort to keep the surviving 140 or so whales alive in one of the worst whale strandings in the nation’s history.
Morrison, a magazine writer and editor, stumbled upon the whales after taking a pre-dawn trip with a photographer and a guide to capture the red glow of the sunrise.“You could hear the sounds of splashing, of blowholes being cleared, of sighing,” she said. “The young ones were the worst. Suarez sent-off as Barca oust Atletico to reach final

Luis Suarez booked Barcelona’s place in a fourth consecutive Copa del Rey final but was sent off as a bad-tempered 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid on Tuesday secured a 3-2 aggregate win.

Suarez’s second goal of the tie looked to have put the semi-final beyond the visitors just before half-time.

Police Recover N111m Bribe Cash from 23 INEC Officials in Rivers State

This was revealed it was revealed, yesterday at a two-day Learning Conference on the Regional Cost of Politics, immediately drew strong disapprovals from concerned stakeholders with assertions that the high cost was the bedrock of the corruption that pervades the political system.

United Kingdom Deports 83 Nigerians

About  83 Nigerians are expected to arrive in the country on today following their deportation from the United Kingdom.

Akonuche gathered that among those to be deported were residents whose documents had expired and prisoners whose terms of imprisonment were nearing completion.

Spokesperson for the National Emergency Management Agency, South-West Zone, Ibrahim Farinloye, said the deportees were expected to be in the country at 5am.
